Winter Wonderland: Tamron’s seasonal theme is open to your interpretation. Winter is a time for snow covered landscapes, white high-key portraits or night-time long exposures. Two images allowed.
Grand Prize: Win any Tamron lens of your choice. The Grand Prize Winner will be awarded from the quarterly finalists on May 15, 2019 and receive recognition in the Graduation TamronEDU Newsletter Edition.
FINAL ENTRY DEADLINE: Must be uploaded on or before January 15, 2019

"The Water Art Invitational (WAI) is an annual art contest hosted by the Service Authority that is open to all high school students enrolled in public or private schools located in Prince William County. The WAI challenges students to articulate themes related to safe, reliable drinking water as an indispensable and convenient resource that millions of people rely on every day through the artistic mediums of painting/drawing, photography, and computer graphics."
This year’s theme of “Every Life and Job Depend on Water.”
Artwork Deadline: Wednesday, * February 13, 2019 (4:00 p.m.)
Awards Ceremony: Thursday, March 14, 2019 (6:30 p.m.)
Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

OWNERSHIP & RETURN OF WINNING AND NON-WINNING ARTWORK:
Winning artwork becomes the property of the Service Authority (SA), without exception.
Non-winning artwork will be returned to the student/teacher after the gallery in the lobby is taken down.
Grand Prize: One grand prize winner, encompassing all categories, will be awarded in the amount of $800, to the student whose entry best captures the depiction of the WAI 2019 theme and displays outstanding artistic ability.
Category Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for 1st ($500), 2nd ($400) and 3rd ($300) place student winners in each
category.

The arts festival showcases artwork from students in grades K–12.

How to submit your work:
- Place a large file on the class flash drive in the folder PWCS Art's Festival
- Name your file with your last name, first initial, and numbered (ex. petropulos.b.3)
- Fill out the nag tag and artist statement to the right of your name tag (DO NOT WRITE OVER ANOTHER STUDENT'S!)
- Assist in matting and tagging your work
- Join us in hanging the work on Friday, April 27th, at Colgan 3:00 PM.

The contest is open to all high school students in the United States and will culminate in an exhibition at the photography program gallery in February 2019. Off the Wall
"Each year the 1st floor gallery at the Candy Factory is filled with inspired artwork created by area high school students. The exhibit is here during a welcomed time of year when friends and family might take time out to enjoy channeled creativity. Whether viewing artwork by a first-time student appearance in “Off the Wall” or that of a revisiting graduating senior getting ready for new challenges, the experience for all involved becomes memorable."
